Zito, Assistant County Administrator <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Brian Sullivan <br />Legislative Affairs & Communications Manager <br />DATE: December 17, 2019. <br />SUBJECT: 2020 Treasure Coast Tri -County Legislative Priorities <br />BACKGROUND <br />Members of the Board of Commissioners of Indian River County, St. Lucie County, and Martin <br />County met .on October 3rd, 2019 in. Fort Pierce, Florida to discuss and vote on staff <br />recommendations for the 2020 Treasure Coast Tri -County Legislative Priorities. <br />Prior to the October 3rd meeting, each of the three counties was offered the opportunity to submit <br />policy proposals. These proposals were researched and analyzed by county staff, who then <br />recommended whether the proposal should be included in the Tri -County legislative agenda for <br />the 2020 Florida Legislative Session. <br />During the October 3rd meeting, county .commissioners present at the meeting were afforded the <br />opportunity to discuss and hear public comment on staff recommendations. <br />After the October 3rd meeting, county staff compiled the adopted recommendations and prepared <br />a document which reflects the finalized 2020 Treasure Coast Tri -County Legislative Priorities. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Indian River County Staff recommends the Indian River Board of County Commissioners adopt a <br />motion in support of the of the 2020 Treasure Coast Tri -County Legislative Priorities. <br />171 <br />
