Boyer, PE, Utilities Engineer <br />Subject: Utility Work by Highway Contractor Master Agreement with FDOT <br />Utility Relocations —1-95 & Oslo Road Interchange <br />FDOT Project #413048 <br />Background: <br />Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is planning to construct a new interchange along 1-95 at Oslo <br />Road. The County's existing water, sewer and reuse mains in the project area will be relocated as part of <br />the roadway construction. The FDOT and Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) will <br />thus enter into a master agreement for the construction of utilities by the FDOT contractor. The FDOT will <br />provide a utility relocation cost estimate at a later date; it is anticipated that some of the utility relocation <br />cost will be paid by FDOT. Per Section 3c of the Agreement IRCDUS may accept or reject the FDOT cost <br />proposal. <br />The County Attorney has determined the agreement should be signed by the Chairman of the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />Funding: <br />No funding is required at this time. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners executes the Florida Department <br />of Transportation (FDOT) — Utility Work by Highway Contractor Master Agreement for FDOT Project <br />#413048 —1-95 and Oslo Road Interchange. <br />Attachment(s): <br />1.
