Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Work Order No. 15, MBV Engineering, Inc. <br />11th Drive and 37th Street Intersection Improvements (IRC -2001) <br />DATE: March 18, 2020 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On April 17, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Continuing Consulting Engineering <br />Service Agreement for Professional Services with MBV Engineering, Inc. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 15 is to provide geotechnical investigation, utility locating services <br />(horizontal and vertical), franchise utility coordination, roadway construction plans, stormwater <br />management report, permitting, signalization plans, and intersection signing and pavement marking <br />plans for the intersection improvements of 11th Drive and 37th Street. Work Order No. 15 is for a not to <br />exceed amount of $149,067.50, which includes permit fees. The estimated construction cost of the <br />improvements is within the F.S. 287.055 threshold, authorizing these professional services to be <br />completed under a continuing services contract. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is budgeted and available in Optional Sales Tax/Account No. 31521441-066510-13009/37th <br />Street (US 1 to Indian River Blvd including 11th Drive) in the not to exceed amount of $149,067.50. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 15 to MBV Engineering, Inc., authorizing the professional <br />services as outlined in the Scope of Work and requests the Board authorize the Chairman to execute <br />Work Order No. 15 on their behalf for a not to exceed amount of $149,067.50. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Work Order No. 15 <br />AGENDA ITEM FOR APRIL 7, 2020 <br />73 <br />
