Please use caution when opening attachments or clicking links. <br />Regarding the issue of rezoning the northwest corner of 58th Ave. and <br />53rd St. <br />Dear County Commissioners, <br />After reading the proposal to change the current zone from <br />Residential/Agricultural to 88 single family units, 111 multi -family <br />apartments, Commercial property to include a 100 room hotel, community <br />center and unspecified amenities, I was absolutely appalled that such a <br />consideration would even be addressed. The negative impact such a <br />development would have on the residents, living choice and environment <br />would be horrendous. <br />Consider, 58th Ave. is a two lane highway, already congested which will <br />be increasingly congested when the Divosta, Bent Pine, 49th & 58th Ave, et <br />al developments are completed. Then there is the issue of need (CON, <br />Certificate of Need) to be considered. Again, not a viable requirement in <br />the area since within a 2-4 mile radius you have commercial stores (gas <br />station with a post office substation, grocery store, two pharmacies, fitness <br />center, numerous restaurants and a Springhill hotel), as well as single <br />family homes, townhouses and condominiums available.
