MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold, County Attorney <br />DATE: February 4, 2020 <br />SUBJECT: Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee Appointment <br />On September 13, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2011-072, which assigned <br />to the County Attorney's Office the task of monitoring certain committee member terms, and overseeing the <br />process of appointments and reappointments. This agenda item is to consider the appointment of an applicant <br />to fill the position of "BCC Appointee" vacancy on the Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee, <br />which term expires in January 2022. The vacancy has been advertised on the County's website in excess of <br />30 days. The following are the names of qualified applicants for this position, whose resumes and/or <br />applications are available for review in the Commissioners' Front Office area: <br />Philip R. Glade <br />David W. Morgan <br />David L. Cox <br />Sven Frisell <br />Curtis Carpenter <br />Kelly A. Darmetko <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />The County Attorney recommends that the Board review the applicants' resumes/applications, and determine <br />whether to appoint one of the applicants to fill the unexpired term for the "BCC Appointee" representative to <br />the Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory Committee. <br />140 <br />
