Board of Commissioners <br />SWDD Meeting Minutes - Final February 18, 2020 <br />B. Solid Waste Disposal District <br />15.B.1. 20-1318 <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened as the Board of <br />Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District. The minutes will be <br />approved at an upcoming Solid Waste Disposal District meeting. <br />Award of Bid 2020028 - Transportation of Recyclables from Indian River <br />County to St. Lucie County <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Solid Waste Disposal District Board authorize the <br />following: 1. Award Bid 2020028 to Republic Services of Florida, Limited <br />Partnership, as the lowest, responsible and responsive bidder for this project; <br />and, 2. Authorize the Purchasing Manager, after approval by the Budget Office <br />and after receipt of the required insurance, to issue a purchase order through the <br />initial term of April 1, 2020, through September 30, 2020, and annually <br />thereafter through September 30, 2025 <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Bid Tab <br />There was no discussion. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Solari, seconded by Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: . 5 - Chairman Adams, Vice Chairman Flescher, Commissioner Zorc, Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, and Commissioner Solari <br />15.B.2. 20-1319 Final Payment to Mr. Mulch for the Yard Waste Processing Services <br />Recommended Action: <br />Solid Waste Disposal District staff recommends that the Board approve the final <br />payment of $64,209.09 request to Russell Payne, Inc. d/b/a/ Mr. Mulch, Inc., <br />and waive the requirement for a three-year tail coverage for Environmental <br />Impairment insurance <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Final Invoice from Mr Mulch & Insurance Back -Up <br />There was no discussion. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Zorc, seconded by Commissioner Solari, <br />to approve staffs recommendation.
