Brown, County Administrator <br />From: Vincent Burke, PE, Director of Utility Services <br />Subject: Minor Modifications to Septic Hauler Agreement for the Residuals Dewatering Facility <br />Background/Analysis: <br />On May 23, 2017, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved the Indian <br />River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) request to implement the Application and <br />Agreement for Disposal of Septage, Food Establishment Sludge and Portable Restroom Wastewater <br />(Agreement) with Indian River County Septage and Food Residual haulers that use the Indian River County <br />Residuals Dewatering Facility (RDF). This agreement was modified and approved by the BCC on May 14, <br />2019. <br />IRCDUS has made a couple of minor changes to the agreement, as follows: <br />Modifications to the Agreement <br />Requirements of Acceptance Section: <br />• Change to #4 —The Central Wastewater Treatment Facility (Central) and its address was added to <br />the places that deliveries will be accepted. Central accepts portable wastewater only. <br />Disposal Procedures Section: <br />• Change to #1 and #2 — Clarification was provided in each one where the RDF and Central are <br />located, their opening days and hours, and the holidays they are closed. <br />Recommendation: <br />For informational purposes only — no recommendation required at this time. <br />Attachment: <br />Redline of Changes to Haulers Agreement <br />12 <br />
