Brown, County Administrator <br />THROUGH: Tad Stone, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />FROM: Erin Baskins, Staff Assistant IV <br />Department, of Emergency Services <br />DATE:: April 29, 2020 <br />SUBJECT: Modification #1 to Emergency Management Federally -Funded Subgrant <br />Agreement (EMPG) Agreement Number G0002 <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by <br />the Board of County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners executed an agreement with the Florida <br />Division of Emergency Management on August 13, 2019 for the Emergency Management <br />Performance Grant (EMPG). The EMPG grant is used to enhance and improve emergency <br />management mitigation, planning, response and recovery directly affecting the lives and property <br />of Indian River County residents and visitors. Due to Executive Order 20-51, dated March 1; 2020, <br />declaring a public health emergency for the State of Florida in response to Coronovirus-19 <br />(COVID-19), The Florida Division of Emergency Management has submitted Modification #1 to <br />Agreement Number. G0002 which extends the terms of the agreement by three (3) months with a <br />new end date of September 30, 2020. <br />FUNDING: <br />There are no changes to the funding of the original agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of Modification #1 of Federally -Funded Subgrant Agreement G0002 <br />between Indian River County Emergency Management and the State of Florida, Division of <br />Emergency Management. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
