Skok, Infrastructure Project Manager <br />Community Aesthetic Feature Agreements <br />Indian River County Welcome Signs, Project No. IRC -1816 <br />DATE: April 23, 2020 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On April 3, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) selected and approved the final design and <br />locations for County Welcome Signs. On April 17, 2018, the Board approved an Engineering Service <br />Agreement for Professional Services with MBV Engineering, Inc to provide site plan design and permitting <br />services for each of the four previously approved sign locations <br />Three of the proposed sign locations fall within Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) right of ways. <br />As part of the permitting process, FDOT requires Community Aesthetic Feature Agreements to be approved <br />by the Board for each roadway as well as a Resolution authorizing the Board of County Commissioners to <br />execute the Agreements prior to issuing right of -way permits where a sign installation is proposed. Two <br />locations are within the US -1 corridor (one Agreement for both) and one location on SR 60. <br />FUNDING <br />No funding is required for this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the agreements and recommends adopting the Resolution and <br />authorizing the Chairman to sign the Agreements. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
