06/02/2020 11.A. <br />Vero Beach <br />MOB Appeal - <br />Background <br />o6lo2l2o2o 21.A. <br />As part of the site plan approval process, Vero Beach MOB was required to <br />install certain site -related improvements <br />Initial review of the traffic counts indicated that a signalized intersection <br />would be necessary. Staff worked with the applicant to find a lower cost <br />solution that provided safe operations. These include: <br />• Installation of northbound acceleration land adjacent to inside northbound lane <br />of Indian River Blvd. <br />• Installation of traffic separator ("pork chop") to ensure the safe operatoion of <br />the northbound left turn movement into the project and eastbound to <br />northbound movement of traffic exiting the project. <br />• Extension of existing southbound right turn lane from Indian River Blvd. into <br />project entrance <br />a <br />
