ft BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />WHEREAS, as of July 21, 2020, Indian River County is still suffering the effects of <br />COVID-19, which continue to pose a threat to the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens <br />of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, per Resolution 2019-55 and Resolution 2020-54, County Administrator <br />Jason E. Brown is authorized to appoint a designee to execute any and all necessary documents <br />during his absence; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 15, 2020, County Administrator Jason E. Brown, appointed me, <br />Michael C. Zito, Assistant County Administrator, as his designee to execute documents in his <br />absence from July 17 to July 26, 2020, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in my capacity as County Administrator Jason E. Brown's <br />designee, I hereby (1) determine that, by reason of COVID-19, the threat of a disaster has occurred, <br />requiring immediate and expeditious action, (2) declare that a local state of emergency exists and <br />continues in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 7:00 a.m., on July 21, 2020, and <br />(3) Indian River County Emergency Order 2020-14, regarding restaurants and food establishments <br />is hereby extended and remain in full force and effect through the duration of this declaration and <br />extension. <br />1an <br />lC.
