IRC-1838 Indian River County <br />Main Library <br />Roof Replacement 00 65 36-1 Contractor’s Five-Year Warranty <br />SECTION 00 65 36 <br />CONTRACTOR'S FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY <br />Know all men by these presents, that we, (Contractor) ________________________________________ , <br />having installed roofing system, flashings and sheet metal on the IRC-1838 Indian River County Main <br />Library Roof Replacement Project under contract between Indian River County (Owner) and Contractor, <br />warrant to the Owner with respect to said work that for a period of five (5) years from date of final completion, <br />the work shall be absolutely watertight and free from any and all leaks, provided however the following are <br />excluded from this Warranty: <br />a. Defects or failures resulting from abuse by the Owner. <br />b. Defect in design involving failure of (1) structural frame, (2) load bearing <br />walls, and (3) foundations. <br />c. Damages caused by fire, tornado, hail, hurricane, acts of God, wars, <br />vandalism, riots or civil commotion. <br />We, Contractor, agree that should any leaks occur in the work we will perform emergency repairs within 24 <br />hours notice and perform permanent repairs within a reasonable time in a manner to restore the work to a <br />watertight condition by methods compatible to the system and acceptable under industry standards and <br />general practice, all at no expense to the Owner. <br />We, Contractor, further agree that for a period of five (5) years from date of final completion referred to <br />above, we will make repairs at no expense to the Owner to any defects which may develop in the work <br />including but not limited to blisters, wrinkles, fish-mouths, ridges, splits and loose flashing in a manner <br />compatible to the system and acceptable under industry standards and general practice as established by <br />the Engineer. <br />Contractor shall attend two post construction field inspections: the first no earlier than twenty -three (23) <br />months and no later than twenty-four (24) months after the date of final Completion and the second no <br />earlier than fifty-nine (59) months and no later than sixty (60) months after the date of Final Completion. <br />Contractor shall complete any corrective action requested by Owner, Engineer, or Manufacturer at no <br />additional cost to the Owner. <br />Signature: ______________________________ Title: __________________________________ <br /> State <br /> County <br />I, , a Notary Public for ______________________ County, <br />_______ State, do hereby certify that personally appeared before me <br />this day and acknowledged the due execution of the foregoing instrument. <br />Witness my hand and official seal, this day of , 20 . <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (OFFICIAL SEAL) <br />Notary Public <br /> <br /> <br />My commission expires , 20 . <br /> <br />END OF SECTION 00 65 36
