Manufacturer’s Product Data Sheets for all materials specified certifying material complies <br />with all specified requirements. <br />C. Shop Drawings: Include plans, elevations, sections and details. <br />1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Contractor shall ensure plumbing systems and components are installed by licensed, <br />qualified personnel. <br />B. Contractor shall ensure roof drains, couplings, piping, supports, fixtures, pipe hangers, <br />fasteners, fittings, etc. are installed in compliance with the referenced plumbing code, and <br />shall be installed in accordance with the component manufacturer’s published guidelines <br />and instructions, and referenced standards. <br />C. Contractor shall be responsible for field testing of completed storm drain systems as <br />required by the referenced plumbing code. <br />1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Delivery: Materials shall be delivered in the manufacturer's original sealed and labeled <br />packaging. <br />B. Storage: Materials shall be stored as directed by Owner and Engineer, to prevent damage. <br />Storage shall not encumber Owner’s operations. <br />C. Handling: Materials shall be handled in such a manner as to prevent damage and <br />contamination. <br />1.7 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Environmental Requirements: <br />1. Roof drains and associated plumbing shall be installed during periods of no <br />precipitation to prevent water from entering the building. <br />2. The Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary precautions to prevent <br />damage to the building and contents during roof drain and associated plumbing <br />installations. <br />3. Comply with applicable rules and regulations of Authorities Having Jurisdiction <br />pertaining to storm sewage systems. <br />B. Protection: <br />1. Contractor shall ensure roof drainage systems remain in service, and shall be <br />restored fully operational before leaving the site. <br />2. Contractor shall protect building interior and exterior surfaces during construction. <br /> PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MATERIALS <br />A. Existing Roof Drains: Replace clamping ring and strainer dome to match existing roof <br />manufacturer and model with cast iron clamping ring and strainer dome. Replace bolts <br />stainless steel clamping ring bolts. Remove existing bolts and restore threads as <br />necessary using taps to ensure positive fastening; clean metal shavings, chips and debris <br />before fastening clamping ring. <br />B. High Flow Retrofit Roof Drain: Shall be prefabricated aluminum drain insert composed of
