RESOLUTION 93-151 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER OCUNTY, FLORIDA <br />REORGANIZING THE CHILDRENS SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO <br />REFLECT ITS EX OFFICIO MEMBERSHIP STATUS AND TO <br />CHANGE ITS DUTIES <br />WHEREAS, the Children's Advisory Committee is composed of <br />representatives of several organizations; and <br />WHEREAS, these representatives are ex officio members selected <br />by the organizations they represent; and <br />WHEREAS, a recent amendment to the code concerning ex officio <br />members allows representation by other than named members of the <br />organization; and <br />WHEREAS, a committee made up entirely of ex officio members <br />needs no terms; and <br />WHEREAS, since the duties were originally established for this <br />committee experience has shown that said duties should be modified, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B1 <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />that: <br />THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />1. The Children's Services Advisory Committee shall be <br />composed of thirteen ex officio members with membership as follows: <br />Member of the Board of County Commissioners <br />Member of the Judiciary <br />Member of the Board of Education <br />Member of the City/County Recreation Department <br />Member of the Substance Abuse Council <br />Member of the Mental Health Association <br />Member of the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse <br />Member of the County PTA Board <br />Member of the Education Foundation <br />Member of the Children's Advocacy Group <br />Member of the Association of Child Care Providers <br />Member of the Sheriff's Department <br />Member of the School Administrative Staff <br />(The current named members are set forth in Attachment "A") <br />2. The committee shall meet monthly or at the call of its <br />chairman or vice chairman and shall be advisory only. <br />to: <br />3.
