Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes on Property Purchased for <br />County Use <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/6/95: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY C MMISSIONERS <br />4Z.A, � <br />FROM: Lea R. Kell r, CLA, County Attorney's Office <br />THRU: Char Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: April 6, 1995 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES <br />PROPERTIES PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is allowed <br />to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the property <br />acquired for public purposes. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tax <br />Collector and the Property Appraiser. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached resolution cancelling taxes upon lands the County recently <br />acquired. <br />Attachment: 1 Resolution - Parcel #16-33-39-00001-0060-00001.0&2.0 <br />William H.
