What precautions such ab turbidity control, erosion stabilization, etc., Wil be <br />undertaken during the,proposed removal of Brazilian pepper using a backhoe? <br />6. Was consideration given to the utilization of wetland or upland plant species in <br />Hsu of the sod following removal of the Brazilian pepper? <br />7. What size in gallons or plugs of the respective specimen types will be planted <br />In the enhancement areas? <br />8. Discuss why a fence is only proposed around the. north and south boundaries <br />Instead of around the entire site. Comment on the potential of dumping trash <br />and debris on the east and west sides of the site due to the absence of the <br />fence. <br />9. Provide details regarding the type of monitoring that will be conducted once the <br />wetland Is enhanced srid planted. <br />9. Provide a monitoring schedule to document the success of the mitigation and <br />removal from the mitigation area of any nuisance and exotic species. The <br />proposed monitoring should continue for at least two years following <br />completion -of the mitigation area. <br />11. Revise Exhibit IV to Include an explanation of all proposed activities, (plantings, <br />enhancement, removal of specific plants or trees, planting centers, types and <br />sizes of trees/plants, construction, etc). Indicate the location of each activity <br />type by drawing an arrow from the .narrative to the proposed location of the <br />activity. <br />12. Verify that the actual preserved area of the site will be 11.76 acres, i.e., 13.09 <br />- 1.33 acres and not 13.09 acres as indicated on Exhibit IV. This actual <br />preserved area should not Include acreage designated for future. roadway <br />expansion or any other development. <br />13. The Department does not consider overview of the site by the County Planning <br />Department as preservation. Instead, a long term conservation easement will <br />be required, a copy of which is attached for your Inspection. Please fill in the <br />blanks of the agreement and include this language on the plan sheets. <br />14. 'Provide a legend to Exhibit IV that indicates the symbols used and their <br />respective meaning. . <br />Please Incorporate the proposed changes into a revised mitigation plan. Submit one <br />copy to the Department in a timely fashion.
