T. 20-1664 Approval of Renewal Contracts for Basic Life, Voluntary Life, Voluntary Retiree <br />Life, Voluntary Long -Term Disability with Mutual of Omaha and Dental Insurance <br />with Ameritas <br />Recommended Action: Staff respectfully requests the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />renewal agreement for basic life, voluntary life, voluntary retiree life, voluntary <br />long-term disability with Mutual of Omaha with a two year rate guarantee through <br />September 30, 2022, approve the renewal agreement for dental insurance with <br />Ameritas at existing rates through September 30, 2021, and authorize the Chairman <br />of the Board to sign acceptance of the Mutual of Omaha renewal. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Mutual of Omaha Renewal <br />Ameritas Renewal Letter <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />9. B.1. 20-1670 Request to Speak from Ruth Brogdon-Kuvlesky regarding the Emergency <br />Order Extension and Other Issues Related to COVID-19 <br />Recommended Action: No action required <br />Attachments: Request to Speak <br />Ruth Kuvlesky, 309 Tunison Lane, Sebastian, spoke on behalf of the <br />individuals who had medical disabilities and were unable to wear face masks. <br />She felt if the County mandated face masks to be worn in public, it could cause <br />a panic and separate the community. <br />Chairman Adams thanked Ms. Kuvlesky for her comments. <br />No Action Taken or Required <br />C.
