Resolution 92-102 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO ENTER INTO AN URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY <br />GRANT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE, DEPARTMENT OF <br />AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES, DIVISION OF FORESTRY <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes the necessity <br />of preserving tree canopy and endangered habitats within Indian <br />River County; and <br />WHEREAS, detailed and updated inventories of native upland habitats <br />will provide decision makers with valuable information to guide <br />land acquisition and land development regulation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County of Commissioners wishes to enter into <br />an Urban and Community Forestry Grant memorandum of agreement to <br />receive matching funds for the preparation of an Urban Upland <br />Habitat Management Plan for the unincorporated area of Indian River <br />County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, hereby approves the <br />submittal of the America the Beautiful Urban and Community Forestry <br />matching grant application and agree to enter into a memorandum of <br />agreement with the State of Florida, Department of Agricultural and <br />Consumer Services. <br />The foregoing haven been moved by Commissioner Scurlock and <br />Second by Commissioner Bowman upon being put to a <br />vote, was carried with a vote as follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K.
