:,/ tt,/o:I( "uc.:)t.trt)At.( Wt,[:/..t.�..) <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO <br />AGREEMENT DESIGNATING THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />AS THE OFFICIAL COUNTY TOURIST BUREAU <br />THIS AGREEMENT entered into the 7thday of Apri 1 , 1992, <br />by and between the Indian River County Boar—d—ot County Commissioners, by <br />and through their advisory Tourist Development Council ( hereinafter <br />referred to as "Council") and the Vero Beach -Indian River County Chamber <br />of Commerce, through its Tourist Council (hereinafter referred to as <br />"Chamber") . <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, on January 17, 1989 Council and Chamber entered into <br />an Agreement Designating the Chamber of Commerce as the Official County <br />Tourist Bureau (Exhibit "A", attached), which agreement set out mutual <br />covenants and promises as to the funding and operation of the County <br />Tourist Bureau; and <br />WHEREAS, Council and Chamber wish to modify the original <br />agreement, based upon three years' operating experience as an Official <br />County Tourist Bureau, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and <br />promises herein contained, the parties agree to modify the original <br />Agreement Designating the Chamber of Commerce as the Official County <br />Tourist Bureau as follows: <br />Paragraph 4 is modified to read: <br />4. Council agrees that revenues distributed to Chamber may be <br />utilized for the following listed programs: <br />a. Off t d Advertising program for toll free number, to the <br />extent and proportion that inquiries received on the toll <br />free number are tourist related. <br />b. Tourist Brochure Development. <br />C. Tourist Media and Video Advertising Program. <br />d. Tourism Trade Shows, including conferences within the <br />state, such as the Governor's Conference on Tourism. <br />and similar events in Florida, only. <br />e. Tourist Staff Person, to the extent that such Staff <br />Person works on matters dealing with tourist programs. <br />It is acknowledged that a full-time person may be needed <br />for this position. <br />f. Office supplies incidental to tourist advertising, such as <br />envelopes, letterheads, postage, printing end related <br />office supplies. <br />g_ Meal expenses for domestic and international travel <br />wholesalers within the county for familiarization trips, to <br />the extent that the meals are associated with a formal <br />program presentation by the "County Tourist Bureau" . <br />and consistent with Florida Statute 125 0104(9)(a) and <br />subject to the limitations of Florida Statute 112 081 <br />h. Photographic development expenses and maintenance of a <br />library of photographs for advertising and publicity <br />purposes.
