�noK 94 F*,r 987 <br />Staff recommends that the bid be awarded to Tri -Burs <br />Cozporation as the lowest, most responsive and <br />responsible bidder meeting specifications as set forth <br />in the Invitation to Bid. <br />In addition, staff requests Board approval of the attached <br />Agreement as to form, when all requirements are met and <br />approved by the County Attorney. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously awarded <br />Bid #5055 to Tri -Sure Corporation in the amount of <br />$543,082.80, as set out in the above staff <br />recommendation. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />P.E.P. REEF SURVEY CONTRACT MONITORING PLAN <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/26/95: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH:James W. Donaldson, P.E. <br />Coastal Engineer ' <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County/Vero Beach PEP Reef <br />Survey Contract Monitoring Plan <br />DATE: April 26, 1995 <br />The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Beach's and Coastal <br />Systems permit, will require the County to monitor the PEP Reef for a period of <br />three (3) years. A primary component of this plan is surveying the beach and off <br />shore bathymetry. The County will require the services of a qualified survey firm <br />to perform these surveys in accordance with the permit and test plan. <br />Staff has been working with the FDEP to prepare a Request for Proposal (RFp) and <br />Scope of Work for the survey (See attached). The County must advertise, select <br />and hire a surveyor prior to the installation of the PEP Reef. . This is because a <br />Preinstallation survey is required by the Department before they will issue their <br />final Notice to Proceed. <br />24 <br />MAY 2 1995 <br />s � r <br />
