11/13/92.2(legal)RESO/Vk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92- 219 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />UTILITY SERVICES TO EXECUTE LIENS FOR <br />UNPAID UTILITY SERVICES, TO RECORD THEM IN <br />THE PUBLIC RECORDS, AND TO RELEASE THEM <br />WHEN PAID. <br />WHEREAS, Section 201.22 of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Indian <br />River County authorizes the County to claim a lien against property owned <br />by customers of the County utility system for unpaid utility services and to <br />record the liens in the public records; and <br />WHEREAS, claiming these liens and releasing them is a routine matter <br />which could be handled more efficiently by not bringing each lien before the <br />Board of County Commissioners; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Director of <br />the Department of Utility Services shall be authorized to execute and record <br />claim of lien forms for unpaid utility bills, and to release them when paid, <br />when such forms and releases are signed also by the County Administrator <br />and the County Attorney. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Ti pni n > <br />and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Macht , and, upon being <br />put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K.
