Brown, County Administrator <br />THROUGH: Tad Stone, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />FROM: Etta LoPresti, Emergency Management Coordinator <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: August 18, 2020 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of 2020/2021 State Funded Subgrant Agreement (T0097) <br />To Update Indian River County's Hazards Analysis <br />The State of Florida provides funding for each county to conduct a hazards analysis as part of the overall Emergency <br />Management preparedness mission. The hazards analysis identifies sites that may contain hazardous materials and <br />the vulnerable areas near these facilities. This is part of the overall Emergency Management Hazardous Materials <br />Plan. <br />This year, the State of Florida has provided an agreement that covers the scope of work for this project. The funding <br />allocated by this agreement to Indian River County is $2,913.00. Completion of this analysis will allow accurate <br />data when planning for response and recovery in Indian River County. <br />FUNDING: <br />This is a fixed fee, performance-based agreement and there is no requirement to match the allocation with county <br />funds. Additionally, all work will be performed by county staff and there are no other associated costs. Funding in <br />the amount of $2,913 will budgeted in the General Fund/Emergency Management/Other Operating <br />Supplies/Hazardous Materials Grant account. <br />Budget <br />Amount <br />00120825-035290-06807 <br />$2,913.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this agreement and acceptance of the funding provided in the agreement. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
