<br /> <br />Meeting Minutes – Final August 18, 2020 <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />Referring to a PowerPoint presentation, Chief Schutt informed that the first <br />round of funding would provide $572,301 to Indian River County, with a <br />staff-recommended focus on mortgage and rental payment assistance. He <br />continued with recommended assistance caps, household income eligibility, <br />promotion, administrative tasks, staffing needs, and assistance from potential <br />community partners. His presentation concluded with staff recommendations. <br /> <br />Chief Schutt entered into discussion with the Board regarding Area Median <br />Income (AMI) parameters, and clarification on which housing expenses would <br />quality for assistance. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Solari, seconded by Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, to approve staff's recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Chairman Adams, Vice Chairman Flescher, Commissioner Zorc, Commissioner <br />Aye:5 - <br />O'Bryan, and Commissioner Solari <br />B. Public Works <br />Moorhen Marsh Low Energy Aquatic Plant System - Recommendation <br />12.F.1. 20-1854 <br />Regarding Construction Bids (Bid #2020030 <br />Reject all bids and purchase a super long reach excavator and a dump truck and <br />Recommended Action: <br />begin in situ canal water lettuce harvesting with the excavator, and authorize <br />design by staff of a basic water lettuce treatment system on the Moorhen Marsh <br />site, followed by its construction. Specifications of this recommendation are <br />detailed in the Staff Report <br /> <br />Indian River County Florida Page 27 <br /> <br />
