RESOLUTION 2020 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, Disaster Preparedness Act, establishes a <br />Division of Emergency Management (DIVISION) and prescribes the powers and <br />responsibilities thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 252, F.S., assigns to the Board of County Commissioners <br />responsibility for disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 252, F.S., requires each county to develop a county emergency <br />management plan and program that is coordinated and consistent with the state <br />comprehensive emergency management plan and program; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the 2020 INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN (CEMP), <br />as approved by the DIVISION, is hereby adopted. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner , and the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner , and, upon being <br />put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman <br />Vice Chairman <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Susan Adams <br />Joseph E.
