Public Works Director <br />FROM: Kirstin Leiendecker, P.E., Roadway Production Manager <br />SUBJECT: 66th Avenue Phase IB - Amendment No. 8 (IRC -1505) <br />DATE: September 23, 2020 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />In 1995, the widening of 66th Avenue, from 2 -lanes to a 4 -lane divided roadway, was added to the Indian <br />River County Long Range Transportation Plan. In 2005, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br />Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. Seven (7) <br />amendments have been approved to date. <br />Amendment No. 8 is to include improvement to the intersection at 66th Avenue and 57th Street. The <br />improvement will include the installation of mast arm traffic signals, pedestrian crosswalks and curb <br />ramps, sidewalk ramps and landings and associated signage and pavement markings. Amendment No. 8 <br />is for a lump sum amount of $48,105.00. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding in the amount of $48,105.00 will be programmed into the following account when formulating <br />the upcoming 2020/2021 CIE. <br />Traffic Impact Fees/District 2/ Account No. 10215141-066510-07806 <br />66th Avenue (49th Street to 69th Street) $48,105.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 8 to Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., and requests the <br />Board authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 8 on their behalf for a lump sum amount of <br />$48,105.00. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Amendment No. 8 <br />AGENDA ITEM FOR OCTOBER 6.2020 <br />61 <br />
