Supplemental Budget Message <br />20-1903 <br />Attachments: Supplemental Budget Message <br />Through the use of a PowerPoint Presentation, County Administrator Jason <br />Brown announced that the fiscal year (FY) 2020/21 proposed budget for the <br />County is $393,634,815, a decrease of $36,864,116 from the current year <br />budget as of March 31, 2020. <br />Administrator Brown provided an overview of the major impacts to the <br />budget for FY 2020/21, which included a tax roll increase of 5.3% <br />Countywide. He noted an estimated county -wide revenue decrease due to <br />COVID 19 in the amount of $5.5 million and pointed out there was an <br />increase of $1.9 million in the Sheriffs funding, as agreed to by the Sheriff <br />(a reduction from the initial request of $2.6 million increase). He detailed <br />the other impacts to the budget were increases to: the Children's Services <br />funding, health insurance claims costs, the retirement rate, deferred <br />maintenance, capital and renewal and replacement expenses. <br />4.B.
