Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 017 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 10, 1995: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: May 10, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 017 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. Bair. <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. The State of Florida, Department of Labor, has charged Indian River County for <br />Unemployment Compensation payments to former employees. A budget <br />amendment is required to reflect these payments. (Memo attached from Personnel <br />Director, Jack Price.) <br />2. At their meeting of May 2, 1995, the Board of County Commissioners approved to <br />amend the Supervisor of Elections budget for administering elections for the City <br />ofFellsmere ($1,808) and the City of Sebastian ($5,993). This budget amendment <br />will allocate the funding. <br />3. The Property Appraiser has requested an amendment to his budget for legal fees <br />(see attached memo). <br />4. Medicaid hospital care is going to be more than anticipated for 1994/95 fiscal year. <br />It is estimated that $100,000 more is needed to be transferred from General Fund <br />contingencies. - <br />5. The attached entry changes the allocation of gas tax proceeds. <br />6. At the meeting ofMarch 14, 1995, the Board of County Commissioners authorized <br />an additional $45,000 for the Humane Society from contingencies. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment <br />017. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved budget <br />amendment 017, as recommended by staff: <br />16 <br />May 16, 1995 <br />
