DeBraal, Deputy County Attorney <br />Kate Pingolt Cotner, Assistant County Attorney <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold, County Attorney <br />DATE: November 14, 2016 <br />SUBJECT: Tourist Development Council Vacancy Appointment <br />On September 13, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2011-072, which assigned <br />to the County Attorney's Office the task of monitoring certain committee member terms, and overseeing the <br />process of appointments and reappointments. This agenda item is to consider the appointment of an applicant <br />to fill the vacant position of a representative "who is involved in the tourist industry and is interested in tourist <br />development" on the Tourist Development Council, which term expires in January 2017. The vacancy has <br />been advertised on the County's website. The following are the names of the qualified applicants for this <br />position, whose resumds and/or applications are available for review in the Commissioners' Front Office area: <br />Amanda S. Smalley <br />John M. Kim <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />The County Attorney recommends that the Board review the applicants' rdsumds/applications, and determine <br />whether to appoint one of the applicants to fill the unexpired term for the representative "who is involved in <br />the tourist industry and is interested in tourist development" to the Tourist Development Council. <br />APPROVED FOR NOVEMBER 22, 2016 <br />B.
