PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING FREDDIE GREEN ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES/ PARKS AND RECREATION <br />DIVISION <br />WHEREAS, Freddie Green has announced his retirement from the .Indian River <br />County Department of General Services, Parks and Recreation effective <br />November 5, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, Freddie began his career with Indian River County on December 2, <br />1986, as a Motor Equipment Operator I with the Parks Division. In 1988, his <br />position was upgraded to Maintenance Worker V and he was designated as a crew <br />leader. On July 29, 1994 his position was reclassified and he was promoted to <br />Foreman, which is the position he has held until his retirement; and <br />WHEREAS, Freddie's performance reflects his dedication to the County and the <br />parks under his supervision have been maintained at the highest level. Freddie is <br />highly respected by all of his co-workers and has been a huge asset to Parks <br />Division and Indian River County. Freddie is an integral member of our <br />community and his leadership during his years of County Service is reflected in <br />performance and his resident -focused values. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />that the Board applauds Freddie Green's efforts on behalf of the County, and the <br />Board wishes to express their appreciation for the dedicated service he has given <br />to Indian River County for the last thirty-four years; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners <br />and staff extend heartfelt wishes for success in his future endeavors! <br />Adopted this 17th day of November 2020. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Chairman <br />2 <br />
