Al <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold, County Attorney <br />DATE: August 25, 2020 <br />SUBJECT: Changes to Chapter 102 of the Indian River County Code of Ordinances <br />BACKGROUND. <br />On August 18, 2020, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") directed the <br />County Attorney's Office to draft an ordinance making several revisions to section 102.01 (Board of <br />county commissioners meetings and procedures) and section 102.04 (Order of business) of Chapter 102 <br />(Board of County Commissioners; Meetings and Procedures) to update the ordinance code to reflect the <br />changes that have been made to Board meeting procedures. Per that direction, the County Attorney's <br />Office has drafted the attached proposed ordinance and provided legal notice of the public hearing on the <br />ordinance. <br />FUNDING. <br />The cost of publication of the required public notice for the public hearing was $128.25. The cost was <br />funded from the County Attorney's Office budget within the General Fund (account number 00110214- <br />034910). <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />The County Attorney's Office recommends that after the public hearing the Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners vote to approve the draft proposed ordinance. <br />ATTACHMENT(S). <br />Draft Ordinance <br />111 <br />
