Bair <br />OMB Director <br />BACKGROUND <br />For the previous five fiscal years, Indian River County has been allocated grant funds from the Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs (FDCA) to fiord local anti-drug abuse programs. IRC Adolescent Substance Abuse <br />Counseling Program and <br />Aftercare Program <br />New Horizons <br />$0.00 <br />$0.00 <br />$43,674.00 <br />TOTAL <br />$185,088.00 <br />5173 21.00 <br />S193,753.33 <br />The County Administrator's Office received a letter dated March 14, 1995 from FDCA stating that <br />Indian River County has been allocated $145,315 in federal grant funds for FY 1995/96, $15,174 <br />more than last year, to fund local anti-drug abuse programs. The letter also requested the Board to <br />serve as the coordinating unit of government in applying for the funds. The Board, during its March <br />28, 1995 regular meeting, accepted the invitation to serve as the coordinating unit of government and <br />named Joseph A.
