A 1,000 -gallon tank will be mounted on a roll -off <br />container for transfer of waste oil from the three other <br />solid waste collection centers to the county landfill, which <br />will serve as the main depot for all waste oils collected. <br />The portable roll -off tank will have a pump for pumping oil <br />out of the collection tanks located at the solid waste <br />collection centers. The roll -off tank will be designed and <br />constructed as a portable, self-contained unit with leakage <br />and spill -containment capabilities meeting the standards set <br />by DER's tank rules. The portable roll -off tank wi l l also <br />be used for waste oil collection on scheduled "amnesty days" <br />and for emergency recovery of oil spills. <br />All waste oil that is collected will be picked up for <br />recycling from the county landfill depot by a licensed, <br />commercial waste oils transporter. <br />The Solid Waste Disposal District will be responsible <br />for the public education, operation, and reporting require- <br />ments for the waste oil collection centers.
