redevelopment, including the location of the new main <br />library in the downtown area, and also including a proposed <br />new courthouse facility in the downtown redevelopment area; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County intends to develop <br />its new courthouse facility within the parameters of the <br />existing 50 -foot height limitations and densities in the <br />downtown area, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: <br />1. The foregoing recitals are affirmed; and <br />2. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, is opposed to any increase in the <br />height limits in the downtown area, and is also opposed to <br />any Increase in densities in the downtown area. <br />The foregoing having been moved by Commissioner <br />—Eggert--- and seconded by Commissioner Scurlock <br />----------, upon <br />being put to a vote, was carried with a vote as follows: <br />1 <br />4/6/89(WGCORD)LECAL(WGC/nhm) <br />Nla <br />r� y <br />_ - <br />e , <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89- 38 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, OPPOSING THE RAISING OF HEIGHT <br />LIMITS AND DENSITIES IN THE DOWNTOWN <br />VERO BEACH AREA, <br />WHEREAS, the present height limitations on <br />buildings in Indian River County and within the <br />municipalities within Indian River County, and the low <br />density, high quality development in Indian River County and <br />Its municipalities are two of the main attributes which make <br />the quality of life in Indian River County and its <br />municipalities so desirable; and <br />WHEREAS_ Indian River County has made major <br />commitments to the downtown Vero Beach area to assist in its <br />redevelopment, including the location of the new main <br />library in the downtown area, and also including a proposed <br />new courthouse facility in the downtown redevelopment area; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County intends to develop <br />its new courthouse facility within the parameters of the <br />existing 50 -foot height limitations and densities in the <br />downtown area, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: <br />1.
