Chief Schutt utilized a PowerPoint <br /> presentation to detail PCP's expansion plans, and to discuss staffs analysis of <br /> the company's Tax Abatement application. The presentation closed with staffs <br /> recommendation to approve a ten-year tax abatement, as well as the required <br /> ordinance and agreement. <br /> Chairman Adams opened the public hearing for comments. <br /> The following people addressed the Board: <br /> Helene Caseltine,Economic Development Director,Indian River County <br /> Chamber of Commerce <br /> Phil Matson, Community Development Director <br /> There being no further comments,the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> The Commissioners wrapped-up discussion with comments regarding the <br /> success of the Tax Abatement program. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner O'Bryan,seconded by Commissioner <br /> Solari,to approve staffs recommendation,and adopt Ordinance 2020-014, <br /> creating a new Section 1100.15(Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax <br /> Exemption granted to PCP Tactical, LLC ("Business")) of Chapter 1100(Economic <br /> Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption)of Title XI (Economic Development Ad <br /> Valorem Tax Exemption)of the Code of Indian River County granting an <br /> Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption to PCP Tactical, LLC; making <br /> findings and providing for severability and an effective date.
