KENNETH R.MACHT, CHAIRMAN, BCC <br />FROM: ANN ROBINSON, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS {1` <br />RE: ITEM FOR BCC AGENDA OF JUNE 6, 1995 <br />(Place under Constitutional Officers and title: Creation <br />of new precinct and change of polling place.) <br />We ask for your approval of the following: <br />1. We propose moving the polling place for Precinct 44 from <br />Glendale Elementary School to the new Immanuel Baptist <br />Church, 455 58th Avenue S.W., Vero Beach. The Rev. Elmer <br />Vogelsang, Pastor, and the elders of the church have given <br />us approval in writing. This will put the polling place inside <br />the precinct boundaries for the first time. <br />2. We propose creating a new precinct, Precinct 45, from the west <br />part of the existing Precinct 42 and the westernmost part of <br />Precinct 46, see attached map. Precinct 42 has more than 3,000 <br />registered voters in it now. This change would place about 850 <br />registered voters in the new precinct where growth is occuring. <br />The polling place for Precinct 45 will be Glendale Elementary <br />School, 4940 8th Street, Vero Beach. <br />With your approval-, these changes will take effect July 1, 1995. <br />New voter identification cards will be mailed in early November. <br />With help from Bob Keating and Jim Davis, we can make the necessary <br />changes in-house to the legal descriptions and precinct map mylar. <br />6 <br />June, 6 1995 <br />
