ROSELAND COAMUNITY CENTER <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/11/95: <br />DATE: MAY 11, 1995 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />TBRII: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SER CE <br />BUBJBCT: ROSELAND COMMUNITY CENTER <br />BACKGROUND: <br />As requested by the Board, staff has looked at the subject facility <br />in. an. effort to determine an estimated cost to install <br />airconditioning, insulation, replace windows and doors, and perform <br />other work that is required to meet ADA requirements. <br />The following is a breakdown of the costs: <br />1. Replace all windows and doors (Material Only) <br />2. Remove and replace front porch (overhead) and <br />Skirt underside of building (Materials Only) <br />3. Install new electrical panel and breakers <br />(Material Only) <br />4. Install central air/heat <br />5. Insulate ceiling, walls and floors <br />6. Re -roof all flat deck areas of building <br />7. Replace front door to meet ADA <br />S. Renovate restroom to meet ADA <br />9. Provide Handicap Parking <br />SUBTOTAL <br />$1,950.00 <br />1,500.00 <br />850.00 <br />4,600.00 <br />3,150.00 <br />3,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />1,800.00 <br />2,000.00 <br />$19,850.00 <br />The above cost reflects labor being performed by staff with <br />approximately 100 manhours. An estimated cost of $6,500 would be <br />incurred if the work is subcontracted entirely. <br />Funding for this project has not been provided for in this year's <br />budget. <br />Staff requests Board action as to what direction should be taken on <br />this project. <br />38 <br />June, 6 1995 <br />
