SECOND EXTENSION TO THE AGREEMENT <br />FOR CONTRACTED BEACH SERVICES — JANITORIAL MAINTENANCE <br />This Second Extension ("Second Extension") to that certain Agreement to provide <br />Janitorial Maintenance Services is entered into effective as of March 2, 2021 by and <br />between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and CER <br />Signature Cleaning LLC("Contractor"). <br />BACKGROUND RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor entered into an Agreement for Janitorial Maintenance <br />Services effective May 1, 2018 ("Agreement"); and <br />WHEREAS, Paragraph 3 of the Agreement contains the term and renewal provisions; and <br />WHEREAS, the first term commenced effective as of May 1, 2018 and ended on April 30, 2020; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the First Extension and Amendment to the Agreement for Contracted Beach Services <br />commenced on May 1, 2020 and will end on April 30, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend the Agreement for an additional one-year period and add <br />certain provisions to the Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the first extension amended the contract to add two locations, Captain Forster <br />Preserve and the Pelican Island National Refuge. <br />WHEREAS, the Second Extension and last extension will be effective on May 1, 2021 and will <br />end on April 30, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire, to amend Article 6 — Responsibilities of the Contractor to include E - <br />verify requirements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, and other good and valuable <br />consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the County and the <br />Contractor agree as follows: <br />1. The background recitals are true and correct and form a material part of this Second Extension. <br />2. This Second Extension shall commence effective May 1, 2021 and shall end on April 30, 2022. <br />3. Paragraph 6.1J is added: <br />Contractor is registered with and will use the Department of Homeland Security's <br />
