Sole Source Purchase of Four (4) Stryker Stretchers <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by the <br />District Board of Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff is seeking the sole source purchase of four (4) Stryker Stretchers. The Board declared <br />Stryker the sole source for power stretchers on September 12, 2017. The Stryker stretchers are <br />found on each ambulance throughout the fleet and have reached their end of life usage. Staff has <br />obtained price quotes for the proposed replacement of four (4) stretchers that are currently <br />assigned to ambulances, which includes a trade in discount of four (4) older units, one of which <br />is listed as a non -capital item. Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />declare 3 stretchers, asset numbers 23856, 29395, and 29396 as surplus, and authorize the trade <br />in of all 4 stretchers for a $10,000.00 discount on the purchase of the new stretchers. These <br />replacement units are in the FY 2020/2021 Approved Budget.
