AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br />TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AND GUETTLER BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION, LLC <br />FOR PHASE 1 OF THE SECTOR 3 BEACH AND DUNE RESTORATION PROJECT <br />IRC PROJECT NO. IRC -1925 <br />BID NO. 2021012 <br />THIS is Amendment No. 1 is entered into on March 2nd , 2021, between Indian River <br />County (COUNTY) and Guettler Brothers Construction, LLC (CONTRACTOR). <br />WHEREAS, the County and Contractor entered into the existing CONTRACT dated <br />December 1, 2020 for the Sector 3 Beach and Dune Restoration Project (Project); and <br />WHEREAS, since the Project was put out to bid, Sector 3 experienced further erosion to the <br />beaches and dunes, creating the need for additional sand to be placed on the beaches and dunes; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the increase in the amount of work to be performed by the Contractor, <br />additional time will be added to the Contract; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties do agree to amend the CONTRACT to addresses changes in <br />"SECTION 00310 — ITEMIZED BID SCHEDULE", of the CONTRACT. <br />NOW THEREFORE, from and after the effective date of this Amendment No. 1, an <br />additional forty-five days shall be added to the Contract, making the completion date December 16, <br />2021; and <br />FURTHER, from and after the effective date of this Amendment No. 1, SECTION 00310 — <br />ITEMIZED BID FORM of the CONTRACT signed on December 1, 2020, shall be replaced with the <br />following AMENDED ITEMIZED BID FORM to reflect additional sand volumes required to <br />complete the permitted fill template for Phase 1 of the Sector 3 Beach and Dune Restoration Project: <br />(Continued on the following page) <br />Amendment No. 1 to Guettler Brothers LLC Contract 03-17-2Ldoc <br />
