RESOLUTION NO. 2021- 027 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />RESTRUCTURING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY AGRICULTURE ADVISORY COMMITTEE. <br />WHEREAS, the agricultural industries in Indian River County are changing due to trade <br />and economic impacts; and <br />WHEREAS, the need has increased for rural landowners and unincorporated farmers to <br />have representation in agricultural matters in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, due to increased tourism, the agritourism industry in Indian River County <br />has grown over the recent years; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners wishes to revise <br />the membership of the Agriculture Advisory Committee to reflect these changes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: <br />1. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Agriculture Advisory Committee shall have nine voting members appointed by the Board <br />of County Commissioners, with the following members: four actively involved in agricultural <br />industry, two associated industries, two actively engaged in agritourism, and a farm bureau <br />representative. Members must be residents of Indian River County. <br />2. NO OTHER CHANGES. <br />Aside from changing the membership, no other changes are made to the Agriculture <br />Advisory Committee. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Adams and <br />seconded by Commissioner Flescher , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was <br />as follows: <br />Chairman Joseph E. Flescher AYE <br />Vice -Chairman Peter D. O'Bryan AYE <br />Commissioner Susan Adams AYE_ <br />Commissioner Joseph H. Earman AYE <br />Commissioner Laura Moss AYE <br />The Chairman thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 6th day <br />of April , 2021. <br />
