Brown, County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. <br />As previously authorized by the Board, the items will be sold by online auction and funds <br />received from the sale of these items will be returned to the appropriate accounts. <br />Two vehicles have previously been declared surplus by the Board, but have been requested to <br />:)e used by other departments. Staff would like to reactivate these assets: <br />Fleet Description Asset Previous Dept Gaining Dept. <br />806 2006 F150 23528 Engineering Stormwater <br />233 2004 Ford Explorer 21896 Engineering Parks <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the County associated with this request. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board declare the items on the Excess Equipment List for 011921 Agenda <br />as surplus, and authorize their sale and/or disposal, as indicated.
