INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SMALL NON-PROFIT RECOVERY <br />COVID-19 GRANT APPLICATION <br />FUNDING <br />Through the Federal CARES Act funding program, the Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners is providing one-time grants in the amount of $10,000 to <br />qualifying non -profits located and operating in Indian River County that have been <br />negatively affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic (see eligibility list below). <br />The grant is limited to one application per non-profit including those with multiple locations <br />within Indian River County. Applications will be accepted and processed until the funds <br />are exhausted. <br />All completed grant applications will be submitted electronically to the Florida Small <br />Business Development Center (SBDC) at Indian River State College (IRSC) for initial <br />processing on the County's behalf. Once final approval is given, grant payments will be <br />mailed by the Indian River County Finance Office. <br />To meet grant eligibility criteria, the non-profit must: <br />1. Be a non-profit agency serving Indian River County; <br />2. Can show to be negatively affected by the COVID-1.9 pandemic and <br />produce financial records to demonstrate this impact during 2020; <br />3. Have 25 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) employees; <br />4. Have been in operation since October 01, 2019; <br />5. Expect to return to full operation after all local and state emergency <br />guidelines for COVID-19 are rescinded; <br />6. Be current on all tangible personal property and/or real estate taxes; <br />7. Have no active judgements, liens, bankruptcies, etc., against the non- <br />profit business or business owner; <br />8. Operate as a 501(c)(3), be in good standing with the State of Florida, <br />IRS, and. had received its non-profit status prior to March 01, 2020; <br />9. Have experienced a reduction in revenue or increase in service demand <br />attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic; <br />10. Grants cannot provide funding for religious or political activities. <br />140 <br />
