B. Proclamation to be Presented to Reverend Buddy Tipton <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, Buddy Tipton was born and raised in Panama City, Florida; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Buddy began the road to restoration of his life in 1969, <br />and attended Bible College from January, 1973 to June, <br />1975; and <br />WHEREAS, Buddy moved to Vero Beach to become the pastor of Central <br />Assembly of God Church on July 3, 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, under Pastor Tipton's leadership, the congregation at <br />Central Assembly has grown from 30 to 700; and <br />WHEREAS, Pastor Buddy Tipton has served in various offices of the <br />Indian River County Ministerial Association and has been <br />instrumental in bringing area pastors together, breaking <br />down denominational barriers; and <br />WHEREAS, Pastor Tipton established a Ministry of Restoration for, <br />pastors in need of spiritual renewal, and he helped <br />establish a prison ministry, which is now world-wide; and <br />WHEREAS, the local radio station, Christian FM92, and the Indian <br />River Christian School were developed under his adminis- <br />tration; and <br />WHEREAS, under Pastor Tipton's direction, the community -wide 4th <br />of July celebrations at the Citrus Bowl were presented in <br />1988, 1989 and 1994: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Indian River County Board <br />of County Commissioners, that July 3, 1995 marks Pastor <br />Buddy Tipton's Twentieth Anniversary at the Central <br />Assembly of God Church, and <br />the Board recognizes Pastor Buddy Tipton for his contri- <br />butions to this community, and extends to him best wishes <br />and blessings for the future. <br />Adopted this 20 day of June, 1995. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />• enneth R.
