Szpyrka, P.E., '.Public Works Director <br />FROM: Jill Williams, Contract Support Specialist <br />i <br />SUBJECT: FDOT Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Agreement and Resolution for <br />,Construction and Construction and Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services for <br />Milling and Resurfacing 6th Avenue from SR-5/US-1 to 21st Street - Project No. <br />IRC -1638, FM No. 438074-1-54-01 <br />DATE: March 30, 2021 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County applied for and received a Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Grant from the <br />Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in Ithe amount of $1,06.1,672 for the Construction and <br />Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services for milling and resurfacing 611 Avenue from SR-5/US <br />1 to 21St Street (estimated total cost for the project is $2,039,152). The proposed improvements will <br />include milling, resurfacing and pavement markings, along with drainage improvements. The County's <br />portion is estimated to be $977,480. 1 <br />FUNDING <br />Per the SCOP grant agreement, the County must fund the project and then request reimbursement of <br />the grant share from FDOT to a maximum amount of $1,061,672 of the total cost for the project. Funding <br />for the County's cost share in the amount of $977,480 of the estimated cost is budgeted in Account No. <br />10921441-053360-19008/Secondary Roads/6T" Avenue Resurfacing US1 to 211t Street. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the Small County Outreach Program <br />(SCOP) Agreement and Resolution and authorize the Chairman to execute the same. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Indian River County Grant Form <br />Authorizing Resolution <br />FDOT Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Agreement FM No. 438074-1-54-01 <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM FOR APRIL 13. 2021 <br />73 <br />
