Office of Management and Budget <br />G Public Works <br />12.6.1. 21-0409 Designation of Trane U.S. Inc., as Sole Source Provider for HVAC Control <br />Systems, System Refurbishments, and Equipment Replacement <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners declare Trane U.S. Inc., <br />as the County's sole source provider for HVAC system controls, system <br />replacement and refurbishment at the Courthouse, Buildings A & B, Health <br />Department, Sheriffs Administration Building, IG Center, Main Library, North <br />County Library, and Sebastian Corners, and authorize the Purchasing Division <br />to issue Purchase Orders to Trane, as funds are authorized by the Budget Office, <br />and as the Trane Terms and Conditions are approved by the County Attorney as <br />to form and legal sufficiency. <br />Attachments: Staff <br />IRC Health Dept AHU and VAV Replacement Proposal <br />Proposal - Supplied Equipment <br />Courthouse AHU evaluation report <br />Vice Chairman O'Bryan requested that the Budget Department keep track of <br />how much business was being awarded to sole source providers. He <br />acknowledged that there were instances where sole source providers were <br />necessary, but was also cautious of the exception becoming the rule. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Chairman Flescher, <br />to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, <br />Commissioner Earman, and Commissioner Moss <br />H. COUNTY ATTORNEY MATTERS <br />13.A. 21-0383 Acquisition of Right -Of -Way for Phase II of 66th Avenue Improvements - Jeta <br />Ranch, LLC - 66th Avenue, Parcel 129 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board approve the Agreement to purchase and sell real estate <br />for the Jeta Ranch, LLC property and authorize the Chairman to execute all <br />documents on behalf of the Board to effectuate the purchase. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 11 <br />
