G. Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes on Properties Purchased for <br />County Use <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/20/95: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />bizo-, <br />R. i <br />FROM: Lea R. Keller, CLA, County Attorney's Office <br />THRU: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: June 20, 1995 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES, <br />PROPERTIES PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is allowed <br />to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the property <br />acquired for public purposes. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tax <br />Collector, the Property Appraiser, and Fixed Assets Department. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached resolution cancelling taxes upon lands the County recently <br />acquired. <br />Attachments: (1) Resolution - Parcel #20-33-39-00001-0080-00002.0 <br />Immanuel Baptist Church of Indian River County <br />R/W along 58th Avenue (Parcel #103) <br />(2) Resolution - Parcel #08-33-39-00001-0010-000001.0 <br />L.
