Warranty Period: 20 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />B. Special Warranty on Panel Finishes: Manufacturer's standard form in which <br />manufacturer agrees to repair finish or replace metal panels that show evidence of <br />deterioration of factory -applied finishes within specified warranty period. <br />Exposed Panel Finish: Deterioration includes, but is not limited to, the following: <br />a. Color fading more than 5 Hunter units when tested according to <br />ASTM D 2244. <br />b. Chalking in excess of a No.8 rating when tested according to <br />ASTM D 4214. <br />C. Cracking, checking, peeling, or failure of paint to adhere to bare metal. <br />2. Finish Warranty Period: 20 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />C. Special Weathertightness Warranty: Manufacturer's standard form in which <br />manufacturer agrees to repair or replace standing -seam metal roof panel assemblies <br />that fail to remain weathertight, including leaks, within specified warranty period. <br />1. Warranty Period: 20 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />D. Wind -Speed Warranty: Metal roof panels will resist blow -off or damage caused by wind <br />speeds of up to 120 mph for 20 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />E. Installers Warranty: Contractor's form in which Contractor agrees to repair or replace <br />standing -seam metal roof panel assemblies that fail to remain weathertight, including <br />leaks, for 5 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br />PART 2 -PRODUCTS <br />2.1 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Energy Performance: Provide roof panels that are listed on the EPA/DOE's ENERGY <br />STAR "Roof Product List" for steep -slope roof products. <br />B. Structural Performance: Provide metal panel systems capable of withstanding the <br />effects of the following loads, based on testing according to ASTM E 1592: <br />1. Wind Loads: As indicated on Drawings. <br />2. Deflection Limits: For wind loads, no greater than 1/180 of the span. <br />C. Water Penetration under Static Pressure: No water penetration when tested according <br />to ASTM E 1646 at the following test -pressure difference: <br />Test -Pressure Difference: 6.24 Ibf/sq. ft. (300 Pa). <br />D. Hydrostatic -Head Resistance: No water penetration when tested according to <br />ASTM E 2140. <br />
