Brown, County Administrator <br />FROM: Tad Stone, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: April 14, 2021 <br />SUBJECT: Modification #1 to Subgrant Agreement (EMPA) between the Florida Division of <br />Emergency Management and Indian River County Agreement Number A0090 <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by <br />the Board of County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />i <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners executed an agreement with the Florida <br />Division of Emergency Management on June 9, 2020 for the Emergency Management <br />Preparedness Assistance Grant (EMPA). The EMPA grant is used to enhance and improve <br />emergency management mitigation, planning, response and recovery directly affecting the lives <br />and property of Indian River County residents and visitors. The Florida Division of Emergency <br />Management has submitted Modification #I to Agreement Number A0090 which modifies certain <br />emergency management requirements to comply with the grant. <br />FUNDING: <br />The original agreement was for $105,806 and -modification #1 to the agreement increases the <br />amount of funds by $23,150 (total funding amount of $128,956) in the General Fund/Emergency <br />Management Grant/EMAP Fees account (00123825-034840). <br />Account Description <br />Account Number <br />Amount <br />EMAP Fees <br />00123825-034840 <br />$23,150 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of Modification #1 of State Funded Subgrant Agreement A0090 <br />between the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management and Indian River County <br />Emergency Management. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
