Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final April 20, 2021 <br />team was ranked No. 1, and that he and Commissioner Earman had recently <br />attended one of their practices. <br />Read and Presented <br />5.B. 21-0381 Presentation of Proclamation Honoring Teddy Floyd on His Retirement from the <br />Indian River County Sheriffs Office <br />Recommended action: Read and Present <br />Attachments: Proclamation <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 5. D., and is placed here for <br />continuity.) <br />Chairman Flescher read and presented the Proclamation to retiring Sheriffs Office <br />Deputy Theodore "Teddy" Floyd, with his friends and coworkers in attendance for <br />the recognition. Teddy expressed how thankful he was for a long-lasting career in <br />Indian River County. <br />Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Jeffrey R. Smith, Sheriff Eric Flowers, <br />and members of the Commission voiced their appreciation for Teddy, thanking him <br />for thirty years of service to the citizens of Indian River County. <br />Read and Presented <br />5.C. 21-0282 Presentation of Proclamation Designating April 18 Through April 25, 2021 as <br />Crime Victims' Rights Week <br />Recommended Action: Recommend Read and Present <br />Attachments: Proclamation <br />Vice Chairman O'Bryan read and presented the Proclamation to Sheriff Eric <br />Flowers, who was present with representatives from Victim Services of Indian <br />River County.
