Detko for a <br />Future Stormwater Facility and for Drainage Purposes <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolution to cancel certain taxes upon the property purchased by Indian River <br />County for a public purpose, and the Clerk to send a certified copy of the <br />Resolution to the Tax Collector and the Property Appraiser so that any delinquent or <br />current taxes can be cancelled. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Resolution <br />Approved Resolution 2021-033, cancelling certain taxes upon publicly owned lands, <br />pursuant to Section 196.28, Florida Statutes. CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS and GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES <br />9.A. 21-0471 Indian River County Supervisor of Elections Leslie Rossway Swan re: Request to <br />Relocate Two Polling Locations <br />Recommended Action: Approve request <br />Attachments: Memorandum <br />Supervisor of Elections Leslie Rossway Swan requested the Board's approval to <br />relocate two polling locations in the County. The first location, St. Sebastian <br />Catholic Church, served precincts 6 and 7 and would permanently relocate to the <br />City of Sebastian Community Center. Precinct 8, which had used the American <br />Legion Hall Post 189, would temporarily move to the Sebastian Elks Lodge No. <br />2714. Ms. Swan advised that with redistricting this year, it would be best to wait <br />on a permanent location for Precinct 8. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner Earman, <br />to approve the Supervisor of Elections' request to relocate two (2) polling places in <br />the County. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Earman, and Commissioner Moss <br />Indian River County Florida Page 8 <br />
